Hello. I’m Shanthi – a copywriter, content editor, journalist and sub-editor, with 15 years’ experience in digital and print. I take pride in creating engaging copy and branded content across a variety of sectors, due to my background in news, ents, travel, design, health and tech. I’m organised enough to meet several deadlines at once, and will undertake them with minimum fuss.
I started out as a national newspaper sub-editor and this enables me to hone in on the ‘big story’ with speed. I’ve worked on big consumer lifestyle magazines and sites and – from a commercial standpoint – I’m able to key into an audience to flesh out what makes customers tick. These days I create effective and marketable copy and storytelling content for websites, e-commerce branding, direct marketing, product descriptions and branded content as a copywriter + strategist. I am also adept at social media marketing content and oversee a number of platforms with above average CTRs (click-through rates).
